ACT/CBS Background and Training: Lived experience of Perinatal OCD, with recovery supported through Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, meditation, and radical self-compassion in the context of past trauma. This experience informed a deeper clinical focus on Contextual Behavioural Science and ACT, alongside training in ACT for neurodivergent youth, perinatal mental health, and occupational therapy practice.
I advocate for formulation-led, compassionate approaches to Exposure and Response Prevention, and for the safe, ethical application of ACT and CBT in treating those with OCD - particularly for those identifying as LGBTQIA+ and or neurodivergent. This includes raising awareness of the potential harm caused by misapplication, particularly in relation to individuals experiencing taboo intrusive thoughts, urges, and compulsions.

ACT/CBS Experience: Used to supper queer and or neurodivergent parents during the perinatal period and others experiencing mental health challenges such as OCD, anxiety and depression.
