ACT/CBS Background and Training: As a life coach, I have opened an APPA-certified practice to advocate for my clients' effective and lasting transitions. Though not therapy, my scope of practice is dedicated to freeing clients from disharmony and dissatisfaction imprisoned in the stories they tell themselves. Its proven success is twofold – an inquisitive encounter for co-creation between counselor and client, and a dialogical encounter for applied-philosophical disclosure and alternatives. Sessions refocus attention from the mere prose of every day life to exceptional virtues that prize the poetry of self-discovery, vitality, and being with others in the world.
ACT/CBS Experience: A visiting scholar at George Mason University's Carter School for Peace and Conflict Resolution, he served as a Board of Education trustee and is a Trust Network consulting partner. He writes and speaks about transitions from inertia to inspired action.
Additional Information: My clients, feeling stuck or dissatisfied, are finding transitional counseling to be a new lease on their personal and professional aspirations. The dialogue that characterizes my practice gives clients a chance to learn about my own transition (one of many) from a successful 27-year career as professor and mentor to my current transitional practice.
