ACT/CBS Background and Training: I am a psychology lecturer and researcher with a PhD in Psychology and a background in clinical psychology. My research focuses on social cognition, particularly on the development of socio-cognitive processes such as automatic imitation, empathy, emotion regulation, and Theory of Mind. The main purpose of my work is to better understand the neural and cognitive mechanisms underlying these processes, particularly in the context of psychiatric and neurodevelopmental disorders, such as autism, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and personality disorders. I have worked as a Clinical Psychologist at Hospital Dr. Abel Fuentealba Lagos in San Javier, Chile, where I conducted psychological assessments and provided psychotherapy (CBT, ACT, DBT) for adults with ADHD, autism, major depressive disorder, and anxiety. I am also registered with the Chilean Society of Clinical Psychology (https://www.scpc.cl/).
