Additional Information: My practice is integrative, drawing on CBT, mindfulness-based interventions, ACT, DBT, and IFS frameworks. I tailor these approaches to meet the unique needs of each client. I take a client-centered and non-directive approach, using motivational interviewing to assess clients' willingness to engage in practicing new skills.
I particularly enjoy working with intellectually driven individuals who may be skeptical about therapy, often believing that therapists won’t be able to understand them sufficiently to be able to help. I also have expertise working with individuals who have chronic health conditions exacerbated by stress, including disorders of the gut-brain axis, as well as individuals who are wanting to find more meaning in their lives. I am poly-affirming and have ample experience working with polyamorous and consensually non-monogamous individuals. My goal is to create a supportive environment where clients can explore their values, recognize where they have choice, and lead more purposeful lives.
In addition to my clinical work, I serve as a clinical researcher and consultant. I offer free or sliding-scale consultation to other therapists seeking support with complex cases or aiming to build competence in the above areas of specialization. I stay current with clinical research through my ongoing work as a behavioral scientist.
