ACT/CBS Background and Training: I completed my PhD in Clinical Psychology at Duke University. I received in-depth training in ACT during my doctoral training (supervisors: Dr. Ashley Moskovich and Dr. Rhonda Merwin) and internship/residency year at UNC Chapel Hill (supervisors: Dr. Matt Cohen and Dr. Mary Hill). I have a strong foundation in third wave cognitive behavioral therapies.
Additional Information: The focus of my practice is reproductive mental health, which can include though is not limited to:
-mental health during pregnancy and postpartum
-grief and loss in the process of family building (e.g., pregnancy or infant loss, stillbirth,
-termination for medical reasons; grieving of desired birth experience)
-family building decision-making (including abortion, navigating LGBTQ+ family building options)
-adjustment to parenthood
-hormonal and menstrual concerns (e.g., PMDD, PCOS, perimenopause)
-coping with stressful medical procedures or complications (e.g., OB/GYN, cancer, NICU/PICU, etc.)
-medical complications impacting reproductive and sexual health

I also work with: 1) people with OCD, 2) people who experience medical anxiety, 3) people have experienced medical trauma, and 4) medical professionals who have burnout or secondary traumatic stress symptoms.
