Additional Information: Jacqueline Caso (she/her) currently provides individual and relationship/couples therapy. She employs an empathetic, trauma-informed, and sex-positive approach to client engagement and intervention. She believes in working collaboratively with clients to explore healing and growth, empowering them to live freely and authentically. Jacqueline is especially dedicated to creating a safe and affirming space for members of the poly/CNM, kink and sex worker communities. She takes an integrative and interpersonal approach to intervention. In addition to ACT, Jacqueline also draws strongly from Mentalization Base Treatment (MBT) and DBT modalities. Jacqueline is also trained to assess and treat adults with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder using Exposure & Response Prevention Therapy (ERP/ExRP).
Jacqueline earned her Master of Social Work degree from Rutgers State University of New Jersey, along with a certificate in Violence Against Women & Children. She completed her undergraduate degree through the CUNY Baccalaureate Program for Unique and Interdisciplinary Studies where she designed her own major in Sexuality & Gender Studies. In addition to her work with Sex Positive Therapy, Jacqueline is employed full-time as clinician in a private Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT), where she supports clients with psychosocial injuries related to severe and persistent mental illness build meaningful lives in the community. Jacqueline has provided crisis intervention, counseling, and advocacy services to LGBTQ+ and HIV-affected survivors of violence, as well as homeless queer and trans adolescents. Previously, Jacqueline volunteered at Bellevue Hospital and NYU Langogne as an emergency department advocate for survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence.
