Additional Information: Dr. Marianna Zacharia is a Registered Clinical Psychologist in Cyprus and holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the Department of Psychology at the University of Cyprus. In 2012, she completed her undergraduate studies (BSc) with First Class Honours in Psychology at the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom. She subsequently completed a three-year Master’s programme (MSc) in Clinical Psychology at the University of Nicosia.
During both her clinical training and the research programmes in which she participated, she received training in the implementation of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She works with adolescents and adults, specialising in the provision of psychological support to individuals with cancer experience and their families, as well as to individuals with intellectual disabilities.
She is employed at the Cyprus Association of Cancer Patients and Friends (PASYKAF) and collaborates with the University of Nicosia as a Clinical Supervisor, supervising students in clinical, counselling, and school psychology. Her recent publications focus on the role of psychologists and psychological approaches in the care of individuals with cancer experience.
