The ACT Skills Lab
The ACT Skills Lab is a structured consultation group designed to enhance therapists’ proficiency in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) through deliberate practice. This is not just a discussion space—it’s a hands-on, skills-based training environment where clinicians systematically refine their competencies with targeted exercises, direct feedback, and guided repetition.
Each session focuses on core clinical processes in ACT, with an emphasis on real-time practice, case conceptualization, and overcoming therapeutic barriers. The goal is to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and applied expertise, ensuring that therapists develop stronger, more flexible clinical repertoires.

About Me
I'm Raul Vaz Manzione, a Brazilian clinical psychologist with 10 years of experience working mainly with adults and couples and in the past I've worked with children, adolescents, families and the elderly. My expertise lies in complex cases and the treatment of PTSD, where I integrate ACT with a functional-analytic approach to help clients navigate deep-seated struggles.
I hold a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, and I am a Peer-Reviewed ACT Trainer. Currently, I serve as the President of the ACBS Brazil Chapter, contributing to the growth of contextual behavioral science in both clinical and academic settings.
My passion for the ACT Skills Lab is to create a small, close-knit community where therapists can not only refine their skills but also support and reinforce each other. It's a networking space where clinicians grow together, exchange experiences, and build lasting professional connections.
