A Year in Review
It has been almost one year since the ACBS Foundation was established. The Foundation applied for and received designation as a non-profit organization in the United States. After the announcement of the ACBS Foundation at the Dublin World Conference, a successful matching gift drive was held to generate funding to support CBS research and work in low and low-middle income countries. The Foundation also received a generous donation which enabled the creation of the Aaron S. Luoma Fund, which aims to advance global health, reduce global disparities, and promote global equity.
Additionally, the new organization developed its founding policies and procedures which will inform the Foundation’s work now and in the future. The Foundation adopted as its goal to support existing activities within ACBS and explore areas for future development. These include activities relevant to training, research, and applied uses of contextual behavioral science.
The ACBS Foundation is still in its infancy, and as such needs to continue to raise funds to begin implementation of its goals and mission. We need your help!
