ACT/CBS Background and Training: I have conducted training to use ACT methods as a part of my psychology studies. I have also used ACT-methods with clients both in individual and group settings. Previously, I have worked in a research project studying the effectiveness of mindfulness-, acceptance-, and value-based intervention to the recovery from work burnout. As a part of this project, I have directed group interventions using ACT-methods. I did my dissertation of the data from this project. Currently, I am working part-time in my own firm conducting ACT-based brief interventions. In addition, I work part-time in a research project focusing on work meaningfulness and work well-being. We incorporate ACT-based content in the interventions of this project.
ACT/CBS Experience: 10 years of studying and working with ACT in some form.
Additional Information: I have completed my PhD studies in the University of Jyväskylä and studied mindfulness-, acceptance-, and value-based interventions and individual outcome profiles of the participants in these interventions. My dissertation is titled "Mindfulness-, acceptance-, and value-based intervention for burnout: Mechanisms of change and individual variation in outcomes".
