Worked as a staff therapist at Portland Psychotherapy Clinic, Research, and Training Center for 2.5 years, a clinic devoted to providing evidence-based therapies (primarily evidence based contextual behavioral therapies) to the community. During my time at Portland Psychotherapy I participated in the monthly Portland ACT consultation group. In 2013 I returned to Seattle and opened a private practice where I currently practice ACT and other CBS treatments (e.g., FAP). In my practice I primarily treat adults with anxiety, chronic health conditions, and addictions. With the help of some of my Seattle area colleagues we ran an ACT consultation group for providers based on the consultation group model developed at Portland Psychotherapy for approximately 3 years.
I currently provide clinical supervision of a NIH-funded trial on using telephone-delivered ACT to improve health behaviors of individuals across the U.S. I also provide supervision on ACT and FAP for graduate trainees in the clinical psychology program at the University of Washington.
ACT/CBS Experience: Over 10 years
