ACT/CBS Background and Training: I teach children and teens who struggle with psychological flexibility academically and socially to hone their self-acceptance, curiosity and resilience. All children and teens benefit from instruction in emotional regulation, social skills, self-esteem and how to respond effectively to their anxiety. For many, psychological inflexibility is accompanied by academic and learning challenges. Like academic and cognitive skills, flexible mindsets can be taught, and they can be taught to fluency.

I use science-based strategies to assess, design instruction, and measure progress towards values-based goals. Through Explicit and Fluency-Based Instruction, I teach the language and cognitive skills necessary for psychological flexibility and comprehension. I hope to inspire in my clients a love of lifelong learning and curiosity.

I also train and supervise other behavior analysts in Precision Teaching, Instructional Design, Relational Frame Theory, Acceptance and Commitment Training, Curriculum Based Measurement, Direct Instruction, Fluency-Based Instruction and Assent-Based Instruction.

I have pursued continuing education in ACT, RFT, Direct Instruction and instructional design, and receive ongoing mentorship and case consultation in these areas.
ACT/CBS Experience: Private practice
