General Interest Area to be Specifically Addressed

This SIG hopes to grow understanding of psychological diversity among different countries and cultures. We hope to create a place where practitioners can feel safe to come together; to share resources, support each other and discuss the unique context and practice issues related to culture.

Mission/Objectives

ACT is being implemented across a number of countries around the world, with a diverse population belonging to various cultures. This SIG is aimed to:
(a) increase accessibility of resources to people from developing countries, and
(b) help build the competence of clinicians looking to deliver ACT in a cross-cultural setting.

SIG Activities
We want to connect and share ideas.

  • The SIG has its own listserv and we encourage you to post any questions you have about your practice, research or community endeavours using CBS.
  • Resources Page: low resource settings share similar strengths and challenges. Many of you will develop resources that could be very useful to others in the SIG, so please share and we will include them all.

We want this to be a great shared space, if you would like to join us and get involved in this SIG.
