ACT/CBS Background and Training: I have been a contextual behaviour therapist for 16 years, and part of the ACT community for 12 years. I've completed courses and received guidance from Steve Hayes, Russ Harris, Kirk Strohsal and Pat Barker, Mark Webster, Robyn Walser and Louise Hayes ACT with Adolescents. I run ACT courses and provide ACT supervision. I continue my development using peer supervision groups, books, online resources and conferences. I facilitate on the ACBS ACT on-line Peer Consultation Group. I use ACT with adults and adolescents individually, couples, families and in groups.
ACT/CBS Experience: 16 years practicing ACT therapist and trainer.
Additional Information: I am interested in resilience building in adults and adolescents running 8 week or 1 day training workshops, individual and family therapy, and supervision to individuals and groups. I teach ACT to therapists in the Increasing Access to Psychological Therapy (IAPT) programme for Long-term Conditions. This course is run by Canterbury Christchurch University and the University of Surrey UK. I've worked with a wide range of people including those who experienced trauma, depression, anxiety, substance misuse, domestic violence and abuse, work stress, performance anxiety, relationship difficulties and low confidence.
