Additional Information: Hi, I’m Dr Adam!
As a young athlete, I used to get so overwhelmed before competing, I’d often physically vomit my guts up, and struggled to perform when it really counted.
As a result, I took a real interest in the mind-body connection, and professionally, I wanted to become a world-leading high-performance specialist in my career. I made progress in this space, becoming the Australian Under 18 and Under 20 Sprint Hurdle Champion (with a number 5. World U18 ranking), I completed two Doctorates – the first a Doctorate in Physiotherapy and the second a PhD in Applied Psychophysiology, and I also become a Japanese Ju Jitsu Black Belt. I even worked with many high-performing athletes and their teams.
However, as an expert in the mind-body connection, I found that my skill-set was most requested in the mental health space, to assist with complex Emotional and Behavioural presentations. As I embraced my career in practical Mental Health, I was also increasingly engaged into the corporate space as consultant. Here I assisted CEOs, executives, HR, health professionals and many others to navigate their own human emotions and behaviour, in order to assist and manage the emotions and behaviours of others. This corporate application of my practical skills was how Dr Adam Coaching was born.
