Foothills CBT is pleased to announce and opening for an exceptionally trained Postdoctoral Fellow, with a built-in pathway to transition into a staff psychologist position after achieving licensure. Postdoctoral Candidates must hold a doctoral degree from an APA-accredited Ph.D. or Psy.D. program and have completed an APA-approved internship in clinical psychology. The qualified candidate must have experience and supervised training in at least two evidence-based therapies (CBT, DBT, ACT).
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation is structured as fee-for-service, with earnings based on a percentage of services provided. Full- time postdoctoral fellows can expect an annual income ranging from $55,000–$75,000, based on caseload. In addition, fellows receive a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance; liability insurance; retirement benefits; paid sick leave; generous vacation leave; and reimbursement for additional training opportunities. We offer all the advantages of private practice, including competitive compensation, flexibility in scheduling, and generous vacation time without the burdens of running a business. You will not need to worry about marketing, administrative tasks, startup expenses, or overhead. Instead, you will have the freedom to cultivate a caseload aligned with your ideal population and clinical interests.
Training & Professional Development
At Foothills CBT, training and growth are central to the fellowship experience. We follow a growth-based training model, supporting fellows in a gradual progression toward increasing autonomy as independent clinicians. Fellows receive weekly individual supervision and weekly group supervision to support clinical skill development and licensure preparation, in a truly open-door environment. They also benefit from ongoing case consultation, mentorship from experienced psychologists, and advanced training opportunities. Fellows are encouraged to develop expertise in a clinical area of interest or evidence-based treatment specialty and will be supported in building that focus into their long-term caseload.
A Clear Career Path
This postdoctoral program is structured to prepare fellows for independent practice, with the potential opportunity to continue their careers at Foothills CBT. Fellows who demonstrate strong clinical skills and alignment with our values may be invited to transition directly into a staff psychologist position upon licensure. This brings career stability, expanded earning potential, greater autonomy, and ongoing opportunities to refine areas of specialization and strengthen clinical expertise, all within a supportive, collaborative environment.
