ACT/CBS Background and Training: I began studying Mindfulness-Based treatment approaches in 2000 and continued throughout graduate school and beyond. My doctoral dissertation was on training beginning clinicians in mindfulness-based interventions. I have Co-Authored a book on Mindfulness-Based treatment in the clinical setting, titled "Mindfulness in Clinical Practice". I implement ACT into client care and treatment as a primary focus. I continue to participated in ACT training workshops, and present beginning level ACT training both locally (Ohio) and nationally.
ACT/CBS Experience: I have been using and implementing ACT into clinical work as a primary model since 2010. I have talked and trained student intern trainees in ACT model and intervention methods.
Additional Information: Currently working at University Hospitals Urology Institute as their in-house psychologist working with patients who are experiencing mental health and sexual health difficulties due to urological conditions, or are experiencing sexual health concerns due to mental health difficulties.
