ACT/CBS Background and Training: I have completed training in Focused Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (FACT) for Brief Interventions through PraxisCET with Dr. Kirk Strosahl and Dr. Patricia Robinson. Alongside this, I am qualified as a Therapeutic Counsellor (Level 4 Diploma, UK) and completed specialist training in Single-Session Therapy (SST) directly with Professor Windy Dryden, one of the leading figures in brief therapy internationally. My learning combines the person-centred tradition with contextual behavioural science, creating a strong foundation in both relational depth and evidence-based, time-efficient methods.
ACT/CBS Experience: I apply FACT and ACT-informed approaches in both single-session and short-term counselling work with adults. My practice emphasises values clarification, behavioural activation, and psychological flexibility. I also draw on SST to complement ACT/CBS work.
Additional Information: My interest is in bringing ACT/CBS approaches into accessible brief therapy formats that can be delivered at the point of need. I work with clients who may not access or commit to longer-term therapy, and my focus is on interventions that are practical, pragmatic, agentic, and values-driven. The combination of FACT, SST, and a person-centred base allows me to offer flexible, responsive support tailored to the client’s immediate context.
