Additional Information: Emerson Epstein, PhD, is the founder of Pivot Behavioral Health. He is a Clinical Psychologist licensed in the state of Illinois and soon to be authorized to practice across state lines under the purview of PSYPACT. He received his PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Nevada, Reno. He completed his pre-doctoral internship at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital, and his post-doctoral fellowship at Health Psychology Associates, generally serving low-income and rural populations. During his graduate and postgraduate training, he specialized in behavioral medicine and learned how to implement cognitive and behavioral therapies for depression, anxiety, insomnia, binge eating, nicotine use, and chronic pain at different levels of intensity within a variety of contexts, including primary care, specialty healthcare, and private practice settings. The focus of his research and practice has been on how people make difficult changes. He completed his doctoral thesis on guided self-help, which laid the foundation for Pivot Behavioral Health. He is passionate about increasing access to evidence-based care and is looking forward to helping you help yourself.
