Matthew Moore, LPC
Bio: I am an LPC in Steubenville, OH, and I have worked with marginalized populations for more than 20 years. I received my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2022, where I also received my BS in Psychology in 2005. I uses ACT in my clinic to work with children and adults who are primarily dealing with ADHD, anxiety, or trauma-related disorders. I have ADHD-Inattentive Type, so I am passionate about using and teaching the Building a Second Brain method to manage time and information for a more meaningful life. My ultimate counseling goal is to receive my clinical endorsement so I can provide low-to-no-cost mental health services through a trauma-informed community development program. I’ve been married for 20 years, I have three daughters, 2 parrots, and one dog. I’m a huge audiophile, and I make incredible Neapolitan pizza.

Ashley Braun-Gabelman, PhD

Bio: Dr. Ashley Braun-Gabelman received her PhD at University of Illinois at Chicago followed by internship and post-doctoral fellowship at the San Francisco VA. During graduate school and throughout her postdoctoral training, she focused on studying and treating individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring disorders. She moved to Cleveland in 2015 and worked at University Hospitals for 8 years, where she served as Associate Director of Addiction Recovery Services. She's now the owner of Cleveland Center for Cognitive Therapy LLC in Beachwood, Ohio where she is passionate about using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help individuals struggling with a variety of concerns including substance use disorders, anxiety, depression and trauma.

Michael Ramos LISW-S
Bio: I have been a member of ACBS for over 8 and nearly 9 years. I consider ACT to be my foundational model which other models easily integrate into. I am also a member of the Social Work SIG. I work in a nonprofit community mental health agency as the Outpatient Program Manager which allows me to spend some of my time still doing clinical work. I have trained direct service and clinical outpatient staff on the ACT model. A cohort was formed and existed for over a year, as I shared my personal and clinical experience with this model. I have explored other models over the years, and have found that every one of them seems to work better when viewed from the broader perspective of the ACT processes. I have also learned that when clients are able to understand, and identify the values important to them, the goals of therapy, and identifying what to teach them falls into place (the therapy alliance). Every provider who utilizes this model needs to communicate with peers on a regular basis to deepen their understanding and find their own unique voice and style of implementing it. This is my reason for volunteering—to ensure a community exists for providers in Ohio who do the difficult work we do.

Emily Remnant, LLC, MA, LPCC
Bio: Emily Remnant received her MA in Clinical Counseling from The Ohio State University. During her counseling training, she did her practicum and internship at a local high school, and took an unplanned detour in the Columbus-area public school setting. Over 13 years she worked as both a Mental Health Specialist and School Counselor, having gone back to Ohio State to become dual-licensed during that time. Emily moved back to her hometown of Dayton, OH after having a child and made the leap to the private practice setting. She has worked with Tandem Columbus for two years, focusing on work with individuals and relationships. She is relatively new to ACT, having attended a training with Dr. Walser in 2023, but utilizes it daily with her self and clients!
