“Working with Sexual Orientation and Gender Diversity" by Matthew Skinta Ph.D.

Printer-friendly version

This free webinar will be offered by ACBS and the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee on Monday, April 29th from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm EST!

Therapeutic work with any minority population requires attention to a number of factors. First, principles of integrating culturally competent guidelines with the individual emphasis of a functional analysis are reviewed. Next, principles of process-based therapy are explored as they relate to both transdiagnostic, minority risk factors, as well as contextual behavioral strategies that correspond to them. Finally, specific applications of this approach to working with diverse clients are considered as they apply to working with sexual orientation and gender identity.

Click here to register for the webinar. Learners seeking 1CE credit will have to pass a short quiz and pay a $15 administrative fee post webinar. The webinar will also be available online after April 29th, 2019.

We invite you to click here to make a donation (suggested $10 for students and $20 for professionals, but any amount is most appreciated) to the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee.
