Good News, Bad News

Good News, Bad News

A book I encountered as a children's therapist. It has always stuck with me. "Good News, Bad News" by Jeff Mack.

Summary from publisher's website:

Good news, Rabbit and Mouse are going on a picnic. Bad news, it is starting to rain. Good news, Rabbit has an umbrella. Bad news, the stormy winds blow the umbrella (and Mouse!) into a tree. So begins this clever story about two friends with very different dispositions. Full color.

Hexaflex points addressed:

Fusion - Similar to the "perhaps" story, there's no use getting to attach to "good" or "bad" thoughts; things change quickly.

Committed Action - Will the rabbit and mouse have the picnic they set out to have, even if it's difficult?
