The Weight, Eating, and Lifestyle Sciences Center (WELL Center) at Drexel
University in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking a post-doctoral fellow to begin
in Summer or Fall of 2018. The fellowship will primarily entail working
with Adrienne Juarascio, Ph.D., on two NIH-funded clinical trials examining
innovative treatments for eating disorders. This position will have both
clinical and research components, with specific allocation of clinical and
research time varying based on the post-doc’s interest. The fellow will
lead treatment groups, conduct outpatient individual treatment for
adolescent and adults patients with bulimia and binge eating disorder,
supervise research staff, provide training to graduate students, and
conduct assessments of potential participants. The fellow will also
conduct data analyses, prepare poster and paper submissions for
conferences, compose manuscripts, and receive mentorship in grant writing.
There will be opportunities for involvement in other research projects,
including pilot studies of his or her own initiation. This training
experience is designed to build expertise in clinical research in the areas
of eating disorder treatment.

The ideal candidate will have a doctorate in clinical, health, or
counseling psychology, have completed APA-approved internship, and have
prior experience with treatment for eating disorders. Experience with
assessment methods (e.g., semi-structured diagnostic interviews) and good
writing skills (publications) are required.
