Eastern Michigan University--Thomas Waltz (ACT, RFT, Applied RFT, Behavioral, FC; MS, PhD/DPhil; USA)Dr. Waltz's behavioral training formally begain at Western Michigan University (BS) and he subsequently went on to get PhDs in experimental psychology at Temple University under Phil Hineline and in clinical psychology at the University of Nevada, Reno under Bill Follette (https://neurotree.org/neurotree/tree.php?pid=115959). He completed his APA accredited internship at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and a two-year post-doc at the Veterans Health Administration's Center for MEntal Health Outcomes Rrsearch and Mental Health Quality Enhancement Research Initiative. He has been a faculty member at Eastern Michigan University since fall of 2013.
His research interests are very broad (basic behavioral process research, treatment process research, implementation research). The best applicants for working in his lab have sound training in behavioral principles and their flexible application.
Eastern Michigan University has a large number of behavioral faculty members with provides trainees with many opportunities for cross-lab collaborations.
