Cognitive Fusion Questionnaire - Malay Translation

A team led by Dr Catherine Soo, of the Department of Public Health Medicine, Universiti Malaysia Sabah, Malaysia has translated and published a Malay version of the CFQ. 

The study involved 220 Malay-speaking university students at Universiti Malaysia Sabah. The CFQ-7-M demonstrated excellent internal consistency and supported a unidimensional structure. It also showed strong associations with psychological inflexibility and moderate-to-strong associations with depression, anxiety, and stress. These findings provide initial evidence supporting its use among Malay-speaking university students, although further validation in more diverse clinical and community populations is still needed.
