Toolkit for Sharing ACBS Resources
Toolkit for Sharing ACBS ResourcesAs part of our ongoing commitment in supporting individuals in supervisory roles, we created this toolkit as a resource for the members of the ACBS Supervision & Consultation SIG to help you communicate the benefits and resources of ACBS to your supervisees. Supervisors may recommend ACBS as one possible resource to support learning, reflection, and professional development during training.
In this toolkit, you will find sample email copy, email signature samples, and a one-pager on ACBS that you can share to help communicate all of the resources that ACBS can provide to your supervisees, trainees, or training cohorts.
Everything provided below is simply a suggestion of how you can more easily share this information. Please feel free to customize and personalize these communications to better suite your unique circumstances.

Subject: A professional resource you may find helpful
Hi {insert name},
As part of your ongoing professional development, I wanted to share a resource that some supervisees find useful during training: the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS).
ACBS is a global professional organization focused on contextual behavioral science and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Membership is optional, and I’m sharing this simply as one possible resource you may want to explore at your own pace and based on your interests.
Some potential benefits supervisees often appreciate include:
- Access to educational resources, webinars, and recorded talks
- Huge video library featuring full length discussions, research presentations, and recorded trainings.
- Exposure to current research and conversations in ACT and contextual behavioral science
- Opportunities to learn how professionals integrate science, values, and practice
- Reduced-cost registration for conferences and trainings
- Student and trainee-focused resources and learning opportunities
- Connection to a broad, international professional community
If you’re curious, check out the benefits of an ACBS membership.
There’s no expectation that you join or engage in any particular way. If you do explore ACBS, we can always talk in supervision about what feels helpful, what doesn’t, and how external professional communities fit into your learning and values.
Warmly,
{insert your name here}
