Mission/Objectives

Our purpose is to create an open space that promotes dialogue, research, training, and professional practice, committed to diversity, equity, and cultural, linguistic, social, and gender inclusion in regard Latin American culture, in order to promote the development of Contextual Behavioral Science in Latin America, with the aim of addressing suffering and promoting human well-being.

General Interest Area to be Specifically Addressed

Facilitate connections among members of the Contextual Behavioral Science community who are part of or interested in Latin American culture.

Potential SIG Activities

• Develop thematic virtual meetings (talks, discussions, conferences, panels, workshops, work experiences)
• Facilitate training and/or peer supervision spaces
• Build study or reading groups
• Plan regional conferences or workshops
• Produce research, teaching, and professional practice resources (articles, books, audiovisual resources)
• Organize regional research networks (facilitate project development, teams, supervision, repositories)
• Hold community meetings
• Make cultural adaptations (translation, validation)
• Promote the dissemination of Contextual Behavioral Science work in the region
